Available only for the overseas/abroad exception — U.S. taxpayers who were outside the country on the regular due date can request more time through June 15, 2026. The standard April 15 extension window has closed for 2025 returns.

Available only if the underlying business/entity return's original due date has not yet passed. Calendar-year filings (partnerships and S corporations were due March 15; C corporations April 15) have closed, but fiscal-year filers may still be within their window.
